    EA827 engine balance

So just a stab in the dark really.

Does anyone on here know whether the EA827 engines were internally or externally balanced from the factory?

The reason being, I have a spare flywheel that I would like to get lightened and balanced, but was wondering if making it zero balance would throw out the balance of the rotating assembly.

The crank on my AFT has not been separately balanced and I don't plan on pulling it out to find out.

Has anyone had any issues with balance after swapping the flywheel on these engines?

Would love to hear anything one way or the other

It's normal practice for cars to have a flywheel & clutch replaced, yet this does not throw out the engine balance
(Motorsport and other applications sometimes balance the flywheel & crank together)
