    DSG Flash tunes..

What companies offer DSG Flash upgrades for our cars in Australia? Which tune do you think is the best one to get?

Hey Parky. I moved your thread to the tuning forum, as a 6sp DSG is a 6sp DSG, whether your driving a MK6 Golf or otherwise.
If you're driving a 7sp dry-clutch DSG, then I'm not sure why you're even asking this....

Anyway, if you had looked in this forum, you may have catched that we were talking about this very thing last night in DeanCorp's thread from here

The original and seemingly the best DSG flashes are from HPA Motorsports Inc. There are a few companies that also do DSG flash, and from reading their marketting information, if it ISNT actually the HPA flash under a different name, they appear to just be copying the HPA information! lol

In NSW, City Performance Centre do the HPA DSG flashes.

If you're in other states, then you may be in a bit more trouble!

I got GIAC to do mine about 6 weeks ago... Same features as HPA (from what I've personally found) but half the cost.

What are the benefits of the DSG flash? Will it fix the shuddering/crap gear change speeds?

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a DSG into manual mode and keep it there rather than have it slip back into auto mode. Ideally if it could be achieved by a flash to the electronics and then became switchable on/off that would be great.

Push the DSG selector to the left?

Standard feature on them all, even without flappy paddles.

Yes I feel stupid. Do you know with my Polo GTI's flappy paddles I am 300km's into it and still haven't used the stick to control the gearbox as I only use the paddles.

Out of curiosity, do these DSG tunes only apply to the 6 speed DSG boxes?

Just asking because of Corey_R's comment in the second post of this thread:

Correct, only to the original 6 speed "oil bathed clutch" DSG gear box.
I'm not aware of any DSG tune for the 7 speed "dry-clutch" DSG gearbox.
