Might be because the Pirelli's are quite rare? But as you know, its the same engine, turbo and ECU so its all applicable to your car.
I personally know of about 8-10x Golf R's now on several forums that have a DNA tune, no doubt there are more though.
The guy that owns DNA in the UK also owns and races a Seat Cupra R in a series over there, and they use the same 2.0TFSI with K04. Look up DNA Tuning on Facebook as well as DNA Motorsports.
Andy, as you may know, GIAC have a strong presence when it comes to tuning Pirellis because of guys like DeanCorp and so forth - that may be why I haven't done them.
But as Lucas has pointed out, what we do for the R is what we do for the Pirellis, and no doubt if you went for a DNA tune you will be more than satisfied with the result.
The 3000rpm boost "spike" in 2.0T + K04 setups are highly dependent on the downpipe and intercooler setups; these will obviously vary depending on combinations of parts. Certainly whilst the boost control parameters can be adjusted to suit each setup, this mid range peak is not nearly as stressful for the turbo as it is in the top end, so nevertheless is not something to be too worried about.
Also, I have extended our satisfaction guarantee to a full month; this ensures you can really test out our tunes over a longer period of time to be sure it meets with your expectations. You are entitled to a full refund any time within this period and the SRS-II loads your stock tune back onto the ECU so you have nothing to lose.

Just updating this thread with another dyno sheet for my car. This is the DNA Tuning stage 3 tune, and the dyno machine is a Dyno Dynamics located at Advan/BMR Autowerks at Auburn, Sydney.
I took the car down to the BMR dyno day at the end of November and it made 211.7kw on their Dyno Dynamics dyno. When i had the car dyno'd earlier this year here in Newcastle it made 208kw on a Mainline machine - so it's pretty similar on both machines. The only changes i have made since the last dyno was a different intake setup, so the difference in figures is most likely just variance from one dyno to another.
You can also left foot brake with the DNA tune - something that i like to use occasionally, and not all tunes allow it.
For reference, at the same dyno day, my friends MK5 GTi with DNA stage 2 tune made 161.2kw - which is pretty much in line with DNA's quoted figures. The GTI has 110,000km's on it and has had a hard life with very little mechanical sympathy, so it did well considering.

bump, great thread !
am interested in getting a tune for my 2011 Golf R DSG, not so much for power, but more to make it more 'driveable': leaving the car in D it shifts way too soon, its like its in a rush to get to 6th gear, leaving me laboring around everywhere, and S its just stupid in my opinion, holds the gears way too long, i look like a tool driving around revving at 5K rpm in 2nd :p
my only mod is a neuspeed intake (stock google image)

which to be honest i got more just for sound, as the Golf R is very quite compared to the GTI
Is there anyone in Melbourne with a stock R and just a stage 1 dna tune that could take me for a spin, i dont want to spend $1500 on it, and then be un-impressed, as user Zoza was...
Luckily, DNA offers a 14 day (or it might be 30 day?) refund policy if you aren't happy with the tune. The Australian distributor for DNA is also based in Melbourne so it couldn't be easier for you to try it.
My car is a manual....BUT i do believe the DSG tune is altered slightly when the ECU is tuned which may assist with the issues you are describing above.
Please will getting a stage 1 tune result in increased engine oil consumption?
