Intercooler & HPFP ordered and my car will be ready for DNA Stage 3 file in about a months time (waiting for hardware to arrive).

I will be logging the tune as well as getting the car dyno'd again shortly after all parts are installed and stage 3 tune loaded. I will load up the dyno results for others to see. Based on the same dyno as my previous run, i am hoping for 210kw and 400nm ATW.

DNA Tuning Stage 3 results - Golf R:

After my previous result of 204kw/354nm (see page 1) last year at the dyno day in Sydney, i took the Golf back to a local Newcastle dyno today to see how it was running with the new mods and tune.

    Mod list:
    - DNA Tuning stage 3 tune
    - VW Racing intake
    - 42DD resonated down pipe (ceramic coated)
    - Autotech HPFP and Audi RS4 fuel rail valve
    - THS style intercooler
    - Neuspeed turbo discharge pipe
    - BSH charge pipe
    - DIY try hard carbon clean done the week before

    All mods installed by me.

    Wish List:
    - Realistically a water or water/meth injection setup
    - If i win Lotto, a GT28 turbo kit + associated bits and pieces.

Based off my previous dyno run, I was hoping for about 210kw and 400nm....i got close with the kw but im a little off with the nm.

I asked the operator to setup the readout the same as the dyno day, but the poor bugger struggled to give me what i got. Car was pretty consistent - it ran several 206kw, a 205kw and then the 208kw.

Can't be too much wrong with intake / fuel trims there Lucas!

*Scratches head* i don't know what to make of it Guy. I checked the fuel trims again yesterday after returning home from the dyno and they are on -8.2%. Absolutely no idea how one day they were on +17.7% and then now they are on -8.2%......as long as they don't move around too much from there ill leave it be.

Thanks again for you time back and forth discussing this with me over the past few days too. Much appreciated.

    Hey Lucas,

Interesting to see your Dyno results after Stage 2 and Stage 3 Tune with your extra mods. My R is currently stock as I only picked it up last week but I plan on getting the following done in the next couple of weeks and wondering what sort of Dyno results I can expect. Any thoughts would be appreciated

    Stage 2+ APR Tune
    VWR Intake
    APR Down Pipe
    APR HPFP

Do you think these mods will achieve 200+ KW ATW?

^ yep with a stage 2+ tune you should see +200kw at the wheels which is about the maximum the k04 can make on the Golf R.
