I'm with NRMA, and as with RACV, they're no longer interested in listing any modifications/accessories/options. All they care is that the car meets roadworthy requirements and what you want the "total value including all modifications and accessories" to be insured for, and what excess you'd like to pay. They then insure whatever is attached to the vehicle at the time, leaving it to the owner to ensure roadworthiness.
Forgive my ignorance but does this mean that if I change my insurance to cover an extra 1500 dollars(apr tune) that as long as the car is road worthy the tune won't effect my insurance apart from the premium increasing as a result of higher insured value?
