Diagnostic plug in Tiguan is where?

Intend to buy the VAG-COM, but at this stage can't find where it plugs in on the Tiguan - Ross-Tech site implies its near the bonnet release, but have crawled all round ther without seeing it. And taken off the panel that sits above your feet without finding it either...

Figured it might have moved across to the other side in a RHD Tig., but no joy there either.

Can anybody point me at it?

yeh not the best place for a wire running around your pedals and feet when you are trying to diagnose something on the freeway!! -VW-
