Yeah he's not bad welcome to the Dark Side!
So, after procrastinating with getting my GTD tuned (Asked about it on here 12+ months ago), I decided I'd gift myself a tune for Christmas.
I ended up getting Gavin from Optimum Code to do a CC phase 1 ECU tune. The extra torque though the rev range is amazing! The car feels so much better.
Over all I can't recommend Gavin enough, awesome customer service, great for a chat, knows his stuff & great pricing too!
To any of the GTD owners thinking about getting a tune, it's worth the money!
I'm headed back to get a DSG phase 1 on Thursday, can't wait!!

The Dark Side is always better
Had the DSG tune this morning, it's completely changed the was Sport mode & the paddles work. Drive = City driving, Sports = everywhere else, haha.
Time to save for my next christmas present

That's interesting - does the clutch grab quicker (slip less) from take off?
I'm tempted to get the DSG Phase 1 but it's expensive and I don't have a real problem or need for it
(Hard to get the Octavia off the line cleanly anyway - ECU Phase 1 has so much torque too easy to spin the wheels)
2012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers
APR Stage II ECU - APR 3" exhaust down pipe & high flow catalyst
APR/HP Roll bars - Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks
Supaloy lower control arms - Enkei 18*8 Wheels
When I use launch control with the paddles/sports in the past, it would always lag changing gears (Like it would think about it first). When I launched it half an hour ago, it just change, it didn't think about it, but as for lagging taking off, I've never really had an issue, if I give it to many revs it will lag thought (as if it's going into a safety mode, then take off).
I have the same issue with torque, I basically change to 2nd straight away to grip in.
Another noticeable difference in Sport, when you go to over take & gun it, then back off it would want to stick in 3rd/4th at high revs & not want to go up to 5th/6th if I didn't put it in drive myself, now in sport after you gun it a bit, it will do it.
I don't know if my ramblings have helped answer your question, but I hope they have
