Cold Air Intake Systems for MK6 GTI

I'm currently looking to change my intake for my 2010 MK6 GTI.

Was wondering which one will be the best to get?

I have been eyeing the APR Carbonio. Is that any good? Or any other option you guys recommend?

    Thanks!

carbonio looks pretty good because it feeds directly to the front grille, and flush, thus allowing maximum air flow from that area (front grille = high pressure), and a direct path to the air cleaner.

i'd go with that over any sort of k&n typhoon style filter, and i'd also try to stay away from pod filters that are prone to hot air in the engine bay.

    cheers,

Scott is right, any decent airbox MUST feed from cool exterior air, be sealed from engine bay air, and be insulated from engine bay heat.

The APR is pretty much the best thing all round, but I see Forge have scoops that bolt onto the factory air inlet now, and that's a key point. Their twintake is certainly a low restriction option! A modshack like mine is good, but only if sealed to the outside, the difference between a 1cm gap and totally sealing it was night and day in the traffic.
