Cars idle goes crazy after intake install

Just installed awe tuning intake on the mk6. When I start the car, it starts then the idle goes crazy... Up and down ... Really rough... What can be wrong? I tried vagcom, no fault codes

Check that the MAF is not backwards. When you pull it out you can see the window that the air needs to enter into. US spec GTIs have the orientation of the screws reversed.
If thats ok check that you dont have any leaks.

Weird question... Is it normal that the car can't pass 4000rpm when it's in neutral and parked?

Normal on other cars. If it's an auto it's usually to stop you from neutral bombing it.

Sounds plausible; the exhaust becomes the intake and vice versa.

My diesel won't pass 2,500rpm unless the clutch is nearly out and its in gear... Its a TC thing (and launch control? yay!)
