    Billy Boat Downpipe

    Hi All

I've searched the forum and couldn't find anything on the Billy Boat Downpipe. ECS tuning at the moment has it for US$499 (Volkswagen Golf VI 2.0T > Exhaust > Down Pipe > ES#263984 2.0T 3" Downpipe With High-Flow Catalytic Converter - FPIM-0475) but it says it's for the CBFA engine code. Anyone knows if this will be compatible for our CCZB engines?

I'm seriously considering purchasing this given the attractive price.

This link might answer your question.
CBFA engine?? What does that mean exactly? - VW GTI MKVI Forum / VW Golf R Forum / VW Golf MKVI Forum / VW GTI Forum - Golfmk6.comhttp://http://www.golfmk6.com/forums...ead.php?t=7377

As far as I know it will fit.
Definately a good price given the recent exchange rates.
Fast shipping from ECS as well. UPS delivered mine after 7 working days.

Not sure why you would want to take the APR downpipe down to the exhaust shop?

Cos nat225 asked how much an exhaust shop would charge for a custom. I replied that they could just copy an apr if someone had one. Yes?

If you go to a reputable, well known, exhaust shop they will be able to make you an exhaust that exceeds APR design and quality, and will probably offer you increased performance over the APR design.

No need to the take the APR one in as a template. It's ok, but it's definitely not exceptional.
