BEST Turbo upgrade I have found.. And he is Australian.

Thought some might be interested... Looks like the best option for what I want to do.. stuff getting an APR, or any other brand K04 when they generally only have the option of upgrading to a K04-001 which is only marginally better than a K03-052.

This way I get a Ball bearing upgrade, as well as the Compressor and Turbine of my choice.. Hell yeah!!!

Thats a nice little red Pog As straight fresh has guessed the pricing is a little on the expensive side... though I guess you get what you pay for. And I mean EXACTLY what you want. He told me that I could upgrade to the K04 CHRA which is custom built with his own ball bearing system, keeping both the K03-052 Comp and ext Housings, but throw into the mix ANY Compressor or Turbine that i wanted within reason (The Turbine side of things is fine, as the K03-052 has basically a K04-001 exhaust housing so it can be ported out to take whichever K04 turbine I wanted) the compressor wheel being the only limitation if I keep my K03 Compressor housing. The housing can only be ported out to accomodate a finite amount so, there wouldnt be any CRAZY big wheel going in there.. The price for that, with me sending him my Turbo, and him machining each the Compressor and Exhaust Housing to fit my choice of Compressor and Turbine costs $1850. If I wanted to go all out and get a huge Compressor wheel into the mix, I would have to get a K04 Compressor housing, and for the the cost is $2350. Thats what I understood from his reply, but I think they still have a while until they will be selling these and doing these upgrades, so by the time they are actually doing this, and they have a firm price, it might be a bit lower.. God.. it is expensive there is no doubt, but can U imagine, a bolt on upgrade without the need to change any other work you have previously done such as exhaust work, or your TIP and the such. I mean If i wanted a GT28 setup, I would have a lot of wasted previous modifications...

Yes a direct bolt on job. Spoke to them yesterday and sounds very tempting. Much, much more flow than a hybrid as the housing is actually ported allowing for even larger compressor and tubine and more flow. Plus much more efficient with the ball bearing set up and keeps the characteristics of the K0 seriers with early spool up etc. So effectively a GT28 but without having to worry about all the plumbing and fitment issues. The only thing would be you have have to get it dyno tuned as there won't be a one size fits all tune. 300hp atw anyone lol??

    CUPRA_GTi - Thanks mate
