i dunno, man... the extra power would be great for a highway cruiser with ultra low NVH and super plush damping etc etc, but our cars dont really need more power - i reckon the "balance" (i use that term loosely) that i've worked to achieve with my car, would just be upset by more power, when it comes to reefton sessions.

good to know the guy's there, though.

no doubt an uprated turbo for the PoD will be cheaper than a stock replacement, but it just seems wrong - remap, bushes, sway bar, engine mount, coilovers, tyres, brakes+fluid, pd160 trumpet...

i've been wondering what the point is, lately, when there's the possibility that the twingo will be coming to australia in 18 months time, and a simple remap + tyres + back seats out =

(nordschleife - 8:47 with passenger filming, 8:40 with no passenger - the guy's done up to 27 laps in a single day. he's hardcore)

This is an excellent upgrade if you start with a K04 Base turbo - we have done similar things to K03 "chassis" and what most people do not realise is the internal port dimensions of the k04 is significantly larger than the K03 housing. You can port a certain amount out on the separate manifold versions (ie: Older K04) but you can not on the integrated versions (like 2.0T's).

You NEVER have enough power on the track.

No doubt. A Clio Sports with nothing but semi-slicks fitted was 5 seconds a lap quicker than my Pod at the Island but the Twingo (and the Clio) will struggle to get to 1200km on a tank.

Must be well off to pay the lap fees - did he have to change tyres/pads?
I only got about 40 laps at The Island last time but then we're session limited.

true about the fuel, i cant deny that it's nice to pull into a servo on a long trip and put in $10 "just in case", haha.

im not sure if he had to change tyres/pads, but yes, he's well off - his vids have been shown to the brass at renaultsport who were impressed, and who have now given him access to the renaultsport factory parts catalogue - he's getting twingo r2 doorcards, pedal box, mounts, bushes, suspension (apparently that costs BIG money), and his future plans are to shoehorn a clio r3 race engine into it.

oh - the other clue that he's well off - he says that he was so impressed with another car, that once the twingo's finished, he's going to buy said other car. other car = porsche gt2 rs.
