There is going to be a dyno day in Brisbane late April at BPS. I am just locking in dates with james in the next week or so. It will be around $30 each for the dyno run which is great. Plenty of euro cars there and exotics on show.

Keep an eye on the events section.

    Lets play.
They run an AWD dyno don't they?
If so i am in like flynn.

So, we're all just ignoring the bit about it being all done then?

I'm getting mine on the dyno soon. At my cost.

I will be putting it up no matter what the results. I just have to find the time to do it. Not all of us have easy access to an AWD dyno y'know.

Ideo, if you would like to compare tunes, let me know & we'll help out. Sydney is not a problem for us either.

Good to see that APR dealers notify their (well paying) customers of such updates but has anyone bothered to do a before/after dyno to see what improvements are made? Funny that using dynos for comparisons against other tunes is now ok with the APR distro, I distinctly recall being told last year that using dyno figures for that purpose were essentially b/s.

I find it interesting that after spending quite a bit of time last year arguing about the disappointing result of the stage 1 tune and how it didn't meet the advertised marketing there is now an update that claims a performance improvement.

So were my issues last year valid or does this update make the stage 1 tune even better than the claimed "upto 49kw" increase....

If I recall correctly, there were plenty of APR stage 1 customers who were happy with their tunes. I'm not saying that your car performed as per expectations, but I don't think your case was indicative of everyone's experiences.

As to KW/Nm claims with the latest tune, I'll leave that to Guy to comment...

I dynoed before and after. Before with Carbonia intake ~185awkw, after with VWR intake (bought from APR) 200.4awkw. That is stage 2+ however.

Big change to the way the car feels. Extremely happy with it.

My butt dyno loves this revised tune! It's much easier to drive in daily traffic with more low down torque.

To all the dissatisfied APR Golf R owners: Stop whinging about your old tune and get it reflashed!

I know of one who decided to not convert to GIAC after the reflash!

Dave, we have not announced it to all our customers yet, that will happen shortly as there are hundreds & hundreds to do.

You are welcome to contact Dean for your upgrade if you wish, the offer still stands as it did last year for a loan car for you and dyno testing which you never took up.

Oh, BTW, we have not advertised any increase in performance, we stand behind our figures and have dozens of customers dyno's to prove it from around the country. happy to work with you as we still believe there is an issue with your car, but without access to it, we can't work on it.
