EDIT: I was a ****wit and didn't read the thread properly.

If you read his original post properly, he states that at the beginning of each gear boost would reach 1.1bar, but at 5000rpm the boost starts to drop.

This guy has a GTI, the GTI has a K03.

At 5,000rpm the boost drops off dramatically with the K03 and it runs out of puff because it's a wee tiny little turbo.

If I'm missing something here, and I've just made myself look like an idiot....please let me know.

Which is essentially what I am saying here....... In general boost will tail off as the engine speed increases and gobbles up the boost you are making. The turbo can't keep up after a certain point, you use the boost quicker than the turbo can make it, in simple terms.

ongti, do you have all the stuff listed in your signature in the second post?

    2010 Golf GTI | APR Stage 2 | APR Downpipe | Oettinger Intake | H&R springs | OSIR Carbon Bodyparts | Pivot 3in1 Boost gauge | 999 Twintercooler | Whiteline ALK | Forge DV spacer |

Not an answer, just a thought.
Yeah, I got it, but is noone, not NO ONE...

As for upgrading the K03 a K04 will do better, but boost is not everything... Do some reading before down that path.

lol... manol comes in to stir yet his point had already been covered... multiple times...

FWIW, I'd assumed that some knowledge was there and the OP was talking about heat soak. But then h100vw had covered the K03 characteristics. So there wasn't any point going over the same thing again

1 Time, and I missed that response from h100vw.
    Sorry for that.

(BTW Corey, stop digging. You approached the issue the wrong way, everyone makes mistakes dude. I did, and I just apologized. You can do the same, it's not hard. Don't have to defend your ****ups.

Come now kiddies, let's not be one-upping eachother, or this will be another place where most new threads are responded to with a "try using the search function" downer...

Manol, it was a good suggestion, but was mentioned in this case. Hard to know what the man saw from the OP, if it was a new experience or change in car behavior.

Let's be nice (i'm in a good mood, KW coilies going in today)...
