650Nm of twin turbo W12 will do that.

Speaking of interesting, the Conti is actually a rebodied VW Phaeton according to Wikipedia.

It's down the back of the driveway with a white wooden fence- should have a little sign on it for HP. But know what you mean, when I got mine flashed had to call Guy to make sure I was in the right place.

Hey Finance_Analyst, what sort of power improvement figures are you now looking at with the APR tune done?

Thanks, your directions will come in useful next week when I take advantage of the Xmas special. After 300km I already want/need more grunt

HP is easy to find, just go to the address it has on the website, google it first and go to street view, you can see the sign on the fence and where the office is located. Had my Stg 1 tune done this month for my Mk6 GTI from HP, really happy with it, Harding Performance are great to deal with.

Hey mate. The extra torque is amazing - 2nd to 3rd gear is so much stronger and is where it is most apparent. APR say 402nm and 189kw and that extra torque makes all the difference. The improved fuel consumption is the icing on the cake

I managed to find the time to head to Quattro Motors last Friday to have the APR upgrade done on my GTI. Having just clocked over 12,000 km/s, and with APR's Christmas Sale, the time seemed just right.

The guys at Quattro were quick and gave me all the info necessary. The car was in at 8am and I was driving it out the doors at 11am.

When I first pulled out and gave the car a bit of juice it was clear that I had gained a bit more power, but not quite as much as I was expecting. Over the weekend I clocked up a couple of hundred km/s, and by the time Sunday afternoon came around.... I was grinning from ear to ear.

When moving from second to third, and third to forth, the extra pull is amazing. The car is definitely more fun to drive. The urge to take the car out for a drive is similar to the urge felt when the car was new.
On top of the extra power, the fact that the car now has reduced fuel consumption and addition programs is a nice little extra. When cruising down the FWY the reduced consumption is definitely evident.

An upgrade that I would definitely recommend. As has been send countless times in this thread, the car truly feels as it should have done when I bought it!

Got mine done today at Harding Performance. Thanks to James for replying to my litany of emails beforehand and to him for his work today and showing me around. Good to meet and chat with Guy_H too!

I just got the Stage 1 and intake combo. noticed the extra torque straight away and the responsiveness is pretty good. I'm still getting used to the DSG so my throttle control is shabby at times while I figure out what it wants to do in D, but the tune helped here with driveability.

Overall I'm pretty happy and think it was money well spent. After tuning my previous car through a variety of methods, the last of which was me writing my own tunes and flashing them to the car, I was blown away by how good the APR setup is. The cruise control switching is genius.

Now I just need to lock my wallet away as I wasn't supposed to be modding the GTI...a smidge over 500km on the clock and it's started already

Anyone here also got the APR exhaust/catback done? I am thinking about it purely to get a sweeter sound
