Wonder how quick it would go with better grip.
Thanks for the encouragment Brendan_A. I'd love to jump, but I need more than a few weeks to put the car through it's paces.
It's a 2010 model that is only just newly mine. 25k compared to the 36k the dealer quoted new and never chased up.
Silly dealer thought the scabby tradie didn't have any money, or maybe he knew I didn't want to finance. I'm sure the later was the reason.
At the end of the day, I'll be the first person to sing praises when I get it done, but I'll be taking my time to protect the warranty on my investment while it lasts.
My friends who have had APR ECU mods done to their GTI's are all very happy, so I have no doubt in the abilities of the flash.

Love the fuel warning light at the end. Classic.
What's the stage 3 cost? 15k or so? It's fair to say it goes a bit beyond a mere ECU flash.
That's one hardcore GTI!.....my.....R....must.....kill....
Better start spending some money!!

Sorry for reviving an old thread. I've just been informed by APR Malaysia that there's a new v2.2 APR file for the Golf mk6 118TSI. Will be in for the update. Anybody is aware of this? Apparently there's lower torque output on this file. Will have to wait and see.
(Finishes up with a burn report email from APR detailing install success, date, ECU & APR program serial numbers. Personally I feel APR could do a little better in this regard. Something more substantial than an email and a receipt to acknowledge the vehicle has the tune. A certificate stating what was loaded and the expected gains would be a nice touch to certify the modifications. But this is only a minor criticism. And perhap a bumper sticker or two This was at the beginning of this post. I never received anything from APR via email or anything in regards to success of program or anything at all little disappointing that if other people did and i didn't. Did everyone get something from them in relation to success install??
Maybe you misspelled your email address on the form?
