Obliged.
So under $2000 and power up to 150Kw and nearly 320Nm.
More expensive than I expected, but it is probably still good value.

Since dropping the price to about $1695 (iirc) for the GTI Stage I, it's become better value.
It was $2000 or a little more but I cannot recall. I had the Stage I on my 2006 Audi TTQ.
APR Stage I is only about $500 in the USA, and even with the recent drop in the AUD, still a big difference.
I remember a thread on OzAudi I believe where Guy gave some reason for this - still quite expensive.
In saying that, I will not hesitate to purchase again. I do feel a price sub $1500 would be much more reasonable.

I don't think it's ever been "$2000" for the VW cars - only for some of the Audi models. I think people just have been in the habbit of saying "$2k" since it's a quick approximate. I mean, in this specific case for BBP of the 118TSI it's only $1550, which is nowhere near $2k... although if you decide to add the security lockout, which many will, that will bring the cost up to $1720 - but still far from $2k.
Crap.. I got 4 weeks to get 2000km on the car then

So by that measure I will be fine.

Yeah I put on about 1500 in a weekend (driving from ACT to BNE).Originally Posted by coreying
Is this possibility of a June sale for real? I pick my GTI up on the 3rd June and would rather not wait till December. Then again I'm guessing it's safer to run it in first before getting APR'd so I may have to hold out.
Getting all the programs for the same price would be too good an offer to pass up.
