I would suggest looking at getting Tarmac Engineering intake. If I had Mk6 that's the option I would go for!
Hey all, just getting some feedback and thoughts on APR stage 2 cold air intake for a mk6 GTI?? How does it compare to others? Are they worth getting??

i was told the gains of fitting an aftermarket CAI on the ea888 (TSI) engines are next to negligible - hence not worth getting it.
unless of course u want a nice looking engine bay.

what I'm able to advise is as follows.
If you have APR stage 2 software then going for the Full APR Stage 2 intake will make a throttle and low end response improvement.
If you using another brand of tuning, your best having a chat to them. Like the mk5 TFSI platform the MK6 TSI both have issues when intakes are not designed or software calibrated towards the intakes correctly.
The fact that the carbon will keep the intake temp down so that will ultimately allow for that few extra HP.

Thanks for the feedback might have a look and give them a try
I have had the full stage 1 + 2 intake installed for 5 years. I put the factory one back on last weekend and can definitely notice the difference in low down response. Also sounds boring as without it... As for whether the stage 2 rear pipe makes any significant difference - probably not but I mainly got it for aesthetics
