APR: blinking light & the use of security lockout

Came across this issue and thought I'd share.

If you don't use the security lockout feature, be careful when you use the cruise control buttons to accelerate and decelerate.

VW's allow you to accelerate (resume/+) and decelerate (set/-) using the cruise control stalk. APR also uses the stalk to access their settings, even when the vehicle is in motion.

So, if you inadvertently use the cruise control stalk and you don't have the security lockout feature, you might be changing your settings on the move.

solution 1: don't use the cruise control stalk to acceleration/decelerate
solution 2: get security lockout and use it

Actually, don't hold it for more than 10 seconds (Accelerating / decelerating) ! - it takes 10 seconds to start the APR sequence.

I must try that on one of my cars, never done it before!
