    Sorry for the hijack -

Why would you not want a bench tune? Is it just the inconvenience of the car being immobile for some time or am I missing something?

    This is all from memory.

The VW specialist in Kensington deals in Revo tunes and does bench flashing... $799 for the tune plus $150 for the bench flash, which takes something like two hours.
So I figured I'll just take the Female to dinner in the city so she doesn't yell at me for buying "more useless car cr@p"

The problem with bench tune for me is that when I send it to the
Dealership for servicing they can easily wipe out the tune. This is why I prefer an obd tune so I can load it or remove when I take car in for servicing

That pisses me off. Why are we always taking crap from our mrs for buying car stuff? Gets up my nose this does. Its just like any other stupid male hobby but cos its a car they just roll the eyes. Its ok for them to buy 3 million pairs of shoes. Women are retarded. If hey didnt have c**&ts we'd be throwing stones at 'em. meh. Rant over.

You know that Superchips has been able to do these for some time but for the moment they still have to open it and enable it for use with their Bluefin that they also give you. The Superchips guys here have both CMD and Alientech gear too.
We can also do it via BDM (open it boost mode etc) but I usually don't opt for this as there is a lot of extra work involved as well as risk for the $ and most of our tunes are utilising the dyno.
Having said that I will check to see if our guys Dimensione Sport have an OBDII solution, all of the providers are usually playing cat and mouse when it comes to this stuff

Start a car business on the side, makes it much more legit with the missus. Still then you have to put up with the likes of Mr Harding, which is up there in terms of annoyance.

Greg, if you have a problem - give me a call, we have spoken before. You were the one who challenged me to a dyno shootout anywhere, anytime, I wen't out of my way to make it happen, and you retracted everything and backed out.

Anytime, anyplace - one on one, we can compare software - VIEZU vs APR - the offer still stands. I don't call that "annoyance, I'm happy to put my money where my mouth is. Suggest you do the same.
