the FPR on the golfs are all Bosch, so basicaly any adjustable FPR with a bosch base "should" fit as far as i know. if you are running rich its probably best to find out why first before you start adjusting fuel maps, it could be something as simple as a faulty sensor.
if you are going down the chipping track and it sounds like you want to you'd be better off with a programable piggyback setup, that way you have infinate (as far as the piggyback allows) adjustment to fuel maps and ignition curves, were as with a chip its set and you have no adjustment.
