Thread: 77TSI POLO Is there any ecu upgrades on the market yet? I want more power!!!

  1. #41

Hey Allegience, Not at this stage thanks mate - There is a Polo ECU going to APR for development (cracking) - that's the first step. Will contact you when we get to step #2 - unfortunately there is no telling how long that will take.

Thanks again for your kind offer & I'll make sure we look after you when we get it sorted

It's a fair bit of work involved and you'd be silly to make any power claims without extensive tests. The reality is its a 1.2 L engine that most people would buy for its fuel economy and not performance. The return on investment would be very very low.

I would say they are basing performance figures from the ABT ECU tune which is available. I am sure people used to say the same thing about 2.0L engines when comparing it to higher capacity 6, 8 cylinder engines....

From the research I have done, I think you will find the ABT "proposed" solution is a simple, in line "tuning box" not an ecu reflash.

Will need to inspect an ECU in Brisbane shortly.

We now have the ability to do the new S4 V6 Supercharged, so hoping the Siemos ECU is from the same family.
