Are they all restricted to 380Nm because of the DSG?

I don't know how/why the 125TDI's would be too much different from the 103TDI's? Sure they might have a different ECU etc, but im sure both would be tuneable.

For instance, my brother has a 2012 Octavia TDI (103kw version) which has a BOSCH EDC17 ecu and we sent it down to John from DNA Tuning in Melbourne to tune it with a stage 1 tune. It was a bench tune and i believe the ECU was encrypted/locked. The car goes like a little rocket now.

If DNA can tune them, then im sure other tuning companies can aswell. (Viezu / Bluefin / CCode / APR / etc etc.)

The 125kw version runs a totally different fuel system & turbo (and ECU) compared to the 103kw version. Easy to handle.

The DSG will take more than 380nm, and there is ECU coding that assists that, then of course, you can modify the DSG for better driveability & greater torque holding.

Yes - meant from an ECU perspective. Im aware that the engine/turbo between the two models is considerably different.

What i was trying to say was that if the 103TDI can be tuned, then im sure the 125TDI engine can also be tuned.

Not true, bluefin (Superchips) offer a tune for the 125tdi

not all 125TDI's are the same - for starters there is the 125TDI-PD and the 125TDI-CR engines... Which car with the 125TDI are you talking about???
They have Different ECU's and each will tune differently with mods.

I'm not aware of any OBD flash based tuning for the 125TDI-CR - they have to be bench tuned due to the encrypted ECU.
so I don't know what Bluefin offer as as a plug in option - must be a Tuning Box.

I'm running a ChipExpress tuning Box in my 125TDI-CR and It's great.... I even get 4.2 lt/100km economy

However when you select 2010+ a pop up comes saying you need to be tuned in a workshop, so the encryption must of happened 2010 onwards...
