My 125TDI Octavia spins the wheels in the dry, let alone the wet!!

Take off in first, get quick enough you can drive in 2nd gear then change and floor it. Thats how I do it.

Get the best dry / wet tyres u can get (conti exteme contacg dry wet or michelin pss) + anti lift kit + torque arm insert + uprated coilovers.. These things keep ur front tyres planted and will reduce wheels spin on wet a lot

When u accelerate hard, the car weight simply transfer to the rear and for FWD cars = less front tyres contact = not the best condition.

Re: 118TSI Tiggy with stage 1 APR - wheel spin in wet

New tires will help a lot. My tuned mkv gti would barely take off in the wet without Wheel spin even during mild take offs. However I got new tires last month and now it will only spin during a semi aggressive take off. My old tires were a decent brand but they were a few years old and were down to about 30%..
