Thread: 1.8T Intermittent rough idle and stall

  1. #11

    Thanks Gav

I think my ME7Logger reports the trims slightly differently to VCDS.
It says my Partial is around 1 and my Idle is around -6.

-6 should mean it is pulling fuel from being too rich at idle. I would have thought a vac leak would give me a + at idle, not a -.

I can't attach the log here.

Try this link. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwj...ew?usp=sharing 2.4MB of data

True, have a look at the water temp input to the ECU maybe it's not seeing a warm engine?

    Gauge reads normal?

    Is it manual or tip?

I'll have a look at mine tonight if I remember. My ECU ends 018AR. It was shocking a while back, lots of busted breather pipes and stuff.

Gauge warms up and sits on its fake 90deg perfectly.
    Manual 5speed.
My ECU is 018AC. Both AC and AR are similar narrowband ECUs with very similar maps but most of them are in different locations.
