Wolfsburg R Oily oil filler cap. PCV failure? Crummy seal?

    Hey guys,

Loving my Wolf. Has anyone else noticed this? Lots of oil around the filler cap. I cleaned it off and it reappeared within a few thousand kms. No codes on VCDS.

    Suggestions?

They're not a perfect seal, to be honest.

Maybe just give it a good clean, and monitor how bad it is?

Hmm, I did, and as mentioned, it was back in a few thousand km. I'm just nervous I'm getting piston ring blow by.

Check to see if the rubber seal on the bottom of the oil cap is still there. Maybe look for a thicker o-ring for a better seal?. Piston ring blow by would result in your sump being pressurised and your dip stick popping out. What is a few thousand kms? 2000, 10000? If you are concerned about the blow by, maybe get a compression test to put your mind at ease.
