It can be transferred via the USB or SD card. I used a memory stick through the USB when I was doing the radio station logos.

Just been advised a tow bar CANNOT be fitted. Back to square one. Does anyone know of a performance hatch that is RWD or AWD that can have a tow bar fitted?? I am prepared to even take a low Km 2 year old car if it fits the bill. I only want to tow a motorbike trailer with one bike. It has never been this hard before.

    Had the same problem.
Only need to go camping twice a year with a small trailer.
Let us know what you go with,

Just hire something for when needed..

Or enquire the usual suspects.. RWD BMW, AWD is as limited as well in the affordable stuff.. WRX.. Commodore VXR lol. There just aren't many candidates, and whether any of them permit a tow is another question again.

Honestly, if you absolutely have to tow something, just buy something else... maybe a 162TSI Tiguan?

I see you're in NSW but I'm pretty sure Advance Towbars here in Melbourne can fit them. I'm thinking this might even work Torklift Central | Torklift Central | 2015-2017 Volkswagen Golf R EcoHitch as I too need a towbar for bike trailer and mountain bike rack.

The problem is that if the car does not have an ADR for towing then you cannot legally fit one. Even if you can physically fit one then you will void your warranty and insurance.

    That's incorrect.

You can FIT one, you are just not allowed to tow a trailer with it. But you are perfectly entitled to use one to mount a bike rack etc. And regarding warranty - Australian Consumer Law is on your side. If VW wanted to "void your warranty" (which according to federal legislation they can't do), then it would be their responsibility to prove how the towbar resulted in the warranty claim being refused (that is to say, how the fitting of the towbar and how it was used contributed or caused the failure for which warranty is being refused).
