8 weeks old with 4000km on the clock.
95km round trip from home to work and back.
Speed limits range from 40/50/60/70/80km per hour and can get to as low as 6.6l/100km but usually sits at 7.2...
    Climate control is on always..
780-800 per tank would be no issue but I always fill up after the 5 day trek from home to work..
Needle is at the half way mark usually.

I do a lot of highway driving and have covered 8000km since October 2017.
    I have averaged 7.4l/100km.
The engine used 300ml of oil in the first 1000km, but has not use more than 50ml since.

    Great news.

I received a call today and was informed that my Wolfie has arrived at the dealership.

Picking up this Wednesday (31st) at 11am.

Really looking forward to it! Will post pics when I can.

I haven't yet seen any posts in this thread of a oryx white hatch Wolfie with a sunroof.

    Congrats!

You get yours faster than mine, did yours come through Port Kembla? I pick it up on Thursday.

Can someone point me to the thread or advise on best way to run the car in?

    Copy and pasted from whirlpool:

My manual (edition 11.2017, applicable to Golf, GTI, GTD, and R) states:

Any new engine has to be run in during the first 1,500 kilometers. All moving parts need time to synchronise. The engine experiences higher internal friction during the first few hours of operation.

    Up to 1,000 kilometers:
    – Do not depress the accelerator fully.
    – Do not drive the vehicle at more than 2/3 of the top engine speed.
    – Do not drive with a trailer attached.

    Between 1,000 and 1,500 kilometers:
    – Increase speed and engine epeed gradually.

The style of driving during the first 1,500 kilometers will also affec the engine quality. Even after this time – and especially with a cold engine – drive the vehicle at moderate speeds in order t oreduce engine wear and to increase the mileage that the engine can cover.

Do not drive at engine speeds that are too low. Always shift down gear if the engine is not running smoothly.

New tyres and brake pads must be run in carefully.

If the engine is run in gently, its life will be increased and its oil consumption reduced.

I have just taken delivery of a white Wolf with sunroof. 9/10... the Silver Pretoria’s look average! That’s where it loses a point. Would love to get them sprayed gloss black like my previous Taledegas. Wouldn’t know where to start. Any ideas on where?
