I drove my wife's 2013 BMW 328i for the first time since buying the Wolfsburg wagon.
Give me the VW any day. The Beemer doesn't hold a candle to the VW.

I never met a horsepower I didn't like.
So the WWL website says my car on the morning crystal’s status is “delivered from”. Anyone know what that means?
That is the final status for mine, so I'm thinking it means that WWL have handed it over to the next step in the process - ADR etc prep (by Patricks ?). After that it will be sent to your dealer where it will be PDI'd, so it shouldn't be too long before you get your hands on it.

How much do the Golf R Wolfsburg Editions in hatch sell for?
Is it right that they come with Dynaudio & with the Driver Assistance Package included?
is there an option to change the wheels if you aren't keen on the Pretorias?

Try this:
2017 Volkswagen Golf R pricing and specs: Wagons and Wolfsburgs return to local line-up
Wheels can always be changed but if it’s like when I bought my 7R, there’s no official change over price so you’re buying a complete duplicate set, unless you can haggle with the dealer.

MY08 Mk5 GT Sport - sold
MY14 Tiguan 118TSI - sold (Mazda3 SP25GT in its place)
MY16 Golf 7R: sold (Caterham Super 7 and Hyundai i30N in its place)
Don't forget to add the on-road costs to those prices, and some dealers seem to be charging very high "dealer delivery" fees on Wolfsburgs. IIRC my dealer charged way more than for regular Golfs. Why ? Because they can
The dealer may not be able to change the Prets for you, but if you wanted to sell them yourself they are usually pretty popular (and are expensive to buy from a VW dealer). I would like to buy one myself so I can have a full size spare, but I'm wary of buying a s'hand wheel in case it has been damaged on a pothole or something.

There was almost zero discounting on the Wolfsburgs I was looking at - you may be able to pick something up in white, no options still, but don't expect much.
Dealers seem to be much more flexible with bog standard R's.
Just got a call from the dealer - picking up my blue Wolfsburg wagon on Saturday
