Everyone has heard different things from dealers, car sites etc. I got given an early 2018 release last week from my dealer, before they revised it to end of August a couple of days later. It seems as though dealers are telling porkies, or they themselves don't even know, unless it's based on when their allocation is delievered to them.
Ive been quoted 63.5da for the hatch no sunroof. Was told nov dev for delivery but that was before the media suggested it may be coming late august. Im terrible at waiting.

Meanwhile, the Wolfsburg Edition starts at $57,990 for the hatch, and $59,990 for the wagon. This pair will roll into showrooms in late-August, and be restricted to 300 units per body style.
The non-performance Golf '7.5' range is set to arrive Down Under in July, while the GTI and R versions will start rolling in from August.

I'm looking to replace my Mk 7 Highline with an R (or maybe a S3, not sure yet) and I think the Wolsfburg is probably what I'd ideally like.
Thing is, I'm probably not going to be ready to order until October. I understand these are limited, so - how limited?
Not sure if there will be any left by then. Best to talk to a dealer.
I'm a tad confused about your statement regarding being ready to order in October. Is that what you meant? Most people can order whenever, it's the delivery date that can be determined by leases/loans etc.
