I'm pretty sure most people paid around the $67k mark for the Wagon. I was looking quite hard for a good deal on a wagon and read many other people's posts on the forum, rang quite a few dealer etc. I'd be very surprise anyone got one for $57k as that's a pretty good price for a fully optioned regular Golf R hatch. Add a few grand for the special addition and another few grand for the wagon results in around $67k.

Sorry, but I think you've got your info mixed up as I mentioned the car went up in value. Dealers were later on selling them for $67k~ (Demo stock ect).

Check out redbook for the pre order price ($58k~)

I don't think redbook reflects what people actually paid.

Can anyone who managed to buy a Wolfsburg Wagon (including options?) at $58k (or anywhere close) please post here to confirm?

Just put a deposit on a new Wolfsburg wagon. Blue. No sunroof.
    The wait begins...
There will be a 2015 plated Mk 7 R manual with cloth seats and 40,000 kms on carsales around the same time if anyone is interested. FSH, no tinkering and a nice set of Michelin PSS with maybe 10,000 kms on them.
    Looking for:- RS4 B7 Avant.
Current:- Amarok V6 Sportline; Mazda CX-9 Azami AWD
Previous - Mk 6 R manual; Mk 7 R manual; Passat 130 TDi Wagon. Mk 7.5 Wolfsburg Wagon.

The Wolfsburg will be the new 7.5.
No price available for the new Wolfsburg yet. I probably won't be able to say what it'll cost me anyway as the sales manager is a mate so I'll get a very good price.

I have the original R wagon. Price new was $59k + on road costs. Sunroof was an $1800 option.

I paid $65k with the sunroof, boot lip protector and boot liner.

For a while, used and demos were selling for low 60s, quite quickly as well. For the past few months sales have definitely slowed.

I was trying to sell mine for a while asking $53k, receiving minimal interest. Decided to keep it and modify it more.

It's a great car, new one I believe has a slightly higher power output (213kw vs 206kw previously), digital dash, larger screen and LED tail lights. Other than that not sure there is much else in terms of changes.

300 available this time vs 200 released last time.

Will be interesting to see if they offer it in more than 3 colours that the first version was available in (blue, white and grey).

For those considering buying, I have read it will be a permanent model in Australia next year. So if you're not in a rush, then maybe waiting and not paying a premium for the Wolfsburg edition might be an option.
