When i was in the market i was looking at a standard r they told me that pearl white was now a option in standard got all the way too signing contracts to find out this was not true. Then the wolfs came in to play the dealer only had three to pick from two hatchs one wagon so i took that. It was suppose to be built already then got told about the delay till December which was fine at the time. The biggest issue that i had is i work for the volkswagen dealer and they gave me a great price so i was happy to wait then came the bad news which then made me do some ground work found the one in qld. Which i then convinced sales manager to stock swap which they have now done. So hopefully no more delays no more issues. Cant complain my price is now 59.700 on road so happy with that i guess

Lots (and lots) of different opinions about that. Most do suggest going easy on the brakes and clutch for the first 500Km (or therebouts) to give them a chance to bed in gently.

Engines - that's an entirely different (and controversial) subject. I suggest you do your research and pick the method that makes the most sense to you.

Personally I'm in the "use lots of accelerator but no lugging or high revs for the first 350kms, then gradually increase the revs used, with no sitting on the same revs for very long at all" camp. But there are plenty of people who have a different opinion to me.

Modern engines are better built than the old days so an extended running-in period seems to be less critical.

There will be a blue Wolfsburg hatch no roof that is due in late october at Nepean Motor Group. I got an amazing deal on a BMW M140 LCI 2 updated model so not taking delivery of the Wolfsburg.

Yes Mr T both great cars but had a mk7 r previously so I thought I would try a BMW this time around. The engine in awesome. They have repositioned the m140 and the price is now not that far off a golf r if you can negotiate hard on the price.

Question for anyone who has collected their MK7.5:

Picked up my Wolfsburg Golf R Wagon in White today, I couldn't help but notice the absence of a proper battery cover. It's just a wrap around job. No lid on top bag or plastic housing.

    Anyone else seen this?

I didn't even know they were available. I missed out on a Wolfsburg Wagon in white so I'll get the R
