The Tig looks pretty wild, but I don't think I'd ever buy an SUV for the purposes of lowering it. I'd either buy an SUV to take off-road, or buy a sedan/wagon/hatch. Even though it's lowered, the actual body itself is still quite tall, which doesn't look in proportion, and the handling characteristics would be all kinds of messed up...

I would consider a Tiguan 155TSI that's dressed up to look like a smaller R50 Touareg though. That would be a neat vehicle.

It does look a little upright. My first thought was " it looks like a Chrysler PT Cruiser"

OK so maybe if you Golf boys don't like the bagged Tig then perhaps you would like this Jetta wagon if they brought it out in a 147 or maybe a GTD...

    I like that better

They should axe the Golf wagon and go with a Jetta wagon. Makes more sense IMO...

    maybe I'm missing something.

A jetta is just a Golf with a boot isn't it? Therefore Jetta wagon = Gold Wagon? Or are they two different models lines?

Yes you're right they both come off the same platform. Though there's a bit more overhang each end on a Jetta than a Golf.

Here's the list of all the models build off the A5 (Golf5/6) platform from Wikipedia:

    Audi A3 Mk2 (8P)
    Audi TT Mk2 (8J)[1]
    Volkswagen Touran (1T)
    Volkswagen Caddy (2K)
    SEAT Altea (5P)
    Volkswagen Golf Mk5 / GTI / R32 / Rabbit Mk5 (1K)
    Škoda Octavia Mk2 (1Z)
    Volkswagen Golf Plus (5M)
    SEAT Toledo Mk3 (5P)
    Volkswagen Jetta Mk5 (1K)
    SEAT León Mk2 (1P)
    Volkswagen Eos (1F)
    Volkswagen Tiguan (5N)
    Volkswagen Scirocco (13)
    Volkswagen Golf Mk6 (5K)
    Škoda Yeti (5L)
    Audi Q3 (8U)
    Volkswagen Jetta Mk6 (1K), (16)
    Volkswagen Beetle (16)

In other words there's lots of Golf derivatives around the place in slightly different guises.

Actually as far a station wagon goes I think the Jetta is a much better option as most people buy a station wagon for the luggage space.

The Jetta Sportswagon (USA) is the same as the Golf Wagon we get. Mixture of MK5 and MK6 styling elements.

This is the new Golf Wagon

I'm sure the new Golf wagon will look good, kinda like a mini-Passat.

I was never a huge fan of the mk6 wagon.
