Can't be sure. It effects all Golf 7's fitted with Bosch blades. I'll see if I can get hold of it tomorrow.

Not having any issues with my wagon picked up 2 weeks ago. I mentioned it to the dealer prior to delivery and he said they always replace the wiper blades anyway....
Took my Golf in for the 45D4 update and got the dealer to look at the wipers. I Originally had the Valeo wiper blades which they replaced with Bosch OEM blades in February. I was still experiencing the streak in the drivers lines of sight, however, it wasn't as bad as the Valeo ones. The dealer tried telling me that I should use some kind of wax/compound on the windscreen and to clean the wiper blades every couple of weeks - when I told them this wasn't acceptable and that there is probably a defect with the blade design, they blatantly said there was nothing they could do for me and basically suck it up.
As I didn't find this acceptable, I decided to take a gamble and order the Bosch wiper blades from the Bosch store/website as others have reportedly done. They arrived today and I fitted them straight away. I was skeptical.... But much to my amazement, they bloody work!!!!
No more smearing & quiet operation. To think I have been putting up with this problem for 6 months and all it took was me to order the Bosch Independent aftermarket part! VW really need to get their sh*t sorted!
So if you are experiencing the wiper smear like I was, I strongly recommend the Bosch Aerotwin A864S blades!
I'm experiencing some "shuddering" with the rear wipers when it's on the way down, tried cleaning the glass and everything but no dice.
Anyone knows if I can just order another set online?

Hi All
For those who is going to pickup the Brand new Golf, I would highly recommended you to check your WIPER especially on the driver side. I pickup my car on on 31-May2014 and on 1-June-2014 (less than 1 day) I discovered the wiper does not work smoothly. I notices a lot of owners having the same issues on internet and because I discovered this the second day I pickup the car, the sales person willing to fix it and replace it with a replacement model of blade for us. FREE of CHARGE. The service manager advise this is a known issues of VW Golf MK7 but they will not proactively replace the problem blade. He also mention if owner report it after 1000KM, they will treat it as wear and worn, the owner will have to pay for replacement. I am lucky enough to discover this. When you pickup your BRAND NEW GOLF MK7, Please use the wind screen liquid on and off for 5 minutes and you should able to discover the issues.
Good luck to all new GOLF MK7 owner.
