Any updates on tinters?
Hi Levendi001
Sorry I haven't rang the others up yet. thought i'll leave it till my car arrives. The only one I've rang, recommended by tigger73 was Car Care | MotorOne and they wanted me to deal with the dealer. didn't give me a quote. i'll probably not get it done by them.
will keep you updated when I ring around. not long now. 7 more days till my car lands in melbourne.

As with all modern vehicles, the windscreen is made from laminated glass, which will block at least 95% (typically 97% to 98%) of UV radiation by design.
Side and rear windows that are not made from laminated glass will otherwise be made from tempered glass. Depending on the presence of any tint or coat in the glass, their darkness, and the thickness of the glass itself, tempered glass will block from anywhere between 30% to 90% of UV radiation.
Laminated side and rear windows are uncommon and tend to feature on more expensive cars.
Expect a typical automotive glass window (tempered, with green tint) to block around 50% to 70% of UV radiation.
Many tinted or coated window films on the market should block the transmission of UV radiation through any glass by >99%, depending on the product.
Anyone know a good tinter in the Brisbane area, I pick my new car up in a couple of weeks. I want to go for the darkest legal tint available.
