So, if you put stiffer bushings in, will that even solve the wheel hop even on wet roads then? ie. Instead of the horrible vibration, you'll just get wheel spin and not ruin the suspension/drivetrain?

Yes, I've learnt to not right foot down hard, but sometimes it catches you out (even on dry roads...TDI torque)
