I must say, that with the Euro depreciating some 30% or so in the last 18 mths yet little or no adjustment from VW Australia (at least BMW have done something by giving lots more equipment and some price drops on 3 series models), shouldn't we either get a large price reduction(wishful thinking) or a fully loaded car (which does not cost VW the full notional value anyway)..
VW, as are all Euro car makers, are making killer margins atm with the Euro/AUD exchange rate and with the ongoing problems of Spain, Greece, Portugal to name a few, the AUD/Euro will probably be parity when the Mk7 arrives. Imagine a GTI with leather, keyless, DRL for $30k AUD (price in Germany was 30,000 Euro when I went last month). mmmmmmmmm
