^ That's a nice looking Polo there, the rims work well. Given that doesn't look too old why the change - more room needed? Or just bored?

Hey. I've had it a year but just got the rims and VW Sport suspension on in March. Since then I just haven't liked it. It just feels wrong so I want a fresh start and fancy something more powerful now I can afford to go new as opposed to used

It's funny how attached we get to our cars. I'm already missing my Ralliart and it's only been 8 days

Was a really fun car to drive as a daily, handled like it was on rails and surprised a lot of people with it's sleeper power (180kw).
Fantastic all-weather vehicle, however in the end the rattles, bland interior and the weight the out of warranty TCSST put on my shoulders became too much so I decided it was time to let go.
Also it wasn't the best car to drive at low speeds and in traffic on cold mornings, the transmission just felt raw and jerky until it warmed up. Different story altogether though once you revved above 3.5k.

I guess the only cure for that will be hopping into my 7R in 2 weeks time!
Nice! I test drove the Ralliart when I was looking at buying my Polo about a year and a half ago. Nice and powerful, but the interior wasn't German enough for my liking . but you're right, we form connections with our cars that go way deeper than just being a mode of transport!

That is one smart looking Polo. Love the wheels. What type are they?

    Golf Mk6 GTI (Candy)
    VE Calais V8 with a CAI/Tune (Eva)
    VE Calais V6 (Blackie)
    ZC Vectra CDXi 3.2lt (Vicky)
VY II SS Sedan, 6sp manual (Purple People Eater)
and about seven cars before that of all makes and shapes...

Limey (I name all my cars) is easily the best. Compact, well put together, power, great cabin, fun to drive even in peak hour...

We have a habit of naming ours as well, the Polo was Marco and the GTI was Red Baron. Haven't named the current ride, my current thoughts aren't politically correct.

I also came from a Holden background once upon a time - pretty sure I know what color the VY2 was.

I've run the last of the Holden V8s in a VT SS, the first of the Chev Gen IIIs in a Tiger Mica colored VT2 SS with full exhaust, a black VT2 SS and my last ever Holden - a VE SSV. Mixed in between there were a couple of Hondas - Civic and Euro, a Mazda CX7, a variety of six cylinder Commodores and a Mazda CX5 GT.

My two GTIs easily lead the pack..

They're Fox Motorsport (MS006) ones, not really sure you'd get them in Australia. They're kind of budget and were £550 with tyres

i call my Polo Noel, after Noel Gallagher. I'm a big oasis fan lol

Bit of a far cry for me from this:

Nice of them to acknowledge your ride with a "V" referenced park.

My new Golf coming on Monday will be my 35th car in almost 40 years of driving. Last car a 2002 Alfa Romeo 156 ("you can't call yourself a petrolhead until you've owned an Alfa" - Top Gear!!) - actually a pretty good car with a Selespeed gearbox (sort of similar to the DSG but single clutch) that actually worked!!
