I pushed the inner plugs through, then fished them out with tweezers and compressed air. Then removed the outer plugs

From there the bracket should just pull away. I just reattached the plate to the dealer drilled holes, until my bumper plugs arrive I've just got some spare clips, they are black but IMHO look better than the Euro bracket.

In the process I've noticed the dealer fit the rear plate at a slight angle. They are going to have fun dealing with that...

That's the same mat I got Brad. Mine seems to fit a bit better, but a day in the sun might sort yours out. For $55 and is something you can hose down I reckon it's good value.

If you have an R, you usually have to drill them out as for some reason they are fitted differently.

I have 7.5 R and was able to easily push the pins through with a small screwdriver. The hardest bit was trying to catch them before they dropped down onto the engine floorpan!

That’s a big improvement. I have a 7R and most things I found online were consistent with what I encountered in having to drill them. I always thought it was odd that they had a slightly different mechanism but it could be down to having bigger holes left behind.

How different are the Mk6 floor mats and boot liner compared to the Mk7.5? Debating on whether to sell my Mk6 rubber mats with the car, but if I can re-use them I will keep them.

I’ve bought pretty basic stuff so far...

flush mount high high speed phone charger
    Audi 12 volt charger cap
    rubber mat for the boot
bluemagic metal polish for the exhaust tips
c-quartz fabric protector for the seats
    console tray
moulded car mats. Pretty impressed with these.

I have the same mats, and am also very happy with them. They catch all the crap off my shoes & boots, and the best thing I can say is I just don't notice they are there (they don't move around, don't need re-attaching to the mounting pins, don't bunch up under the pedals, no fuss or attention needed at all)

Apologies if it's buried in the thread.

I installed the USP one. I found it a bit aggressive, I think it's gear towards a cooler climate. The vids online show the USP kit slowly gliding up, but mine popped quickly and hard enough to bounce the car. My gf also had issues closing the hatch and was worried she'd pop it and hit something.

I have my kit sitting around if anyone is interested in it. I'll just have to make sure I have all the parts
