Maybe they wanted the "Front and rear, carpet with Golf badging and white trim highlight" or the "Front and rear, rubber with Golf embossing" instead of the bog standard one
(I've always ordered the rubber ones...)
Thanks Jimi. That is what i am doing before i pick it up, research.

I have the brochure, and have looked online, but it is not obvious what it comes with (and if i ask the dealer they'll prob try to sell me something) Have learnt a bunch of things from here and others, but am a VW novice. I've never bought a new car till now, so be gentle
Cheers
Included mats are a very low pile carpet with no embossing or branding and feel almost like velvet. Contoured around trim as seen in the pic
I use universal mats on top to be a bit harder wearing and preserve my VW carpet.
I also manufactured some foot rests in propeller plate to stop scuffing of the plastic rests. Pics don't show the one for the right hand rest.
I replaced my boot light with an LED bulb off ebay for $3 and its a lot brighter now.
I want to replace the foot well lights with red LEDs from DAAutokey however cannot tell if the fittings are a sealed unit for the MK7. Anyone had them out or know if the bulb is removable?

How do those springs work with the adaptive damping/chasis in the Mk7?
also, just as follow up I pulled the foot-well lights and they do appear to be a purpose designed LED unit. I could not separate the clear part from the back completely and the LED board appears to be hardwired not a wafer type bulb.
I tried brake-light repair tape (red) and it was way too dim to be useful. Might be different if I can place it inside the clear cover instead as the tape doesn't fit snug on the textured outer surface (so could be reflecting a lot of the light back). Not to sure where to go next on this other than replacing the entire fixture with one I can place a bulb in or colour in the LED with a red felt tip.
Generally shouldn't be an issue as it's the dampers that are adjusting (and steering), not the springs.
It's coilover systems that cause the issue as you then need to look at the KW DDC unit to maintain the adjustability control and the price rockets up.
I'll be curious to see more thoughts/reviews on the ride quality of the Eibachs.
