The Nanolex sealant I bought is for textile and leather so may be something you're interested in, otherwise I wouldn't bother - just maintain it using the right leather products. IIRC there are some threads in the detailing section on it.

I had mine Opti coated after delivery (and had the wheels done). For the interior I bought some Nanolex sealer and did it my self - no, I don't have leather.

How did it go? I'm planning on getting it on this weekend, time permitting.

Very happy with the OptiCoat. Nanolex requires a well ventilated space (or an ability to hold your breath for some time, but seemed to go well - I haven't tried spilling drinks or chocolate on it to verify it though.

Looking to purchase the VW Rubber Mats (unfortunately there isn't an 'R' variant) and the plastic boot liner.

Any suggestions on where to get em cheap or if there are some other preferred options out there?

Have a look at Car Mats - Mats for All Car Makes and Models of Vehicles | Matcraft - they did up R and GTI mats for Lucas R I believe and he was happy, and a few others have followed suit.

Others have used this UK seller in the past as well I believe Car Mats in Black to fit VW Golf Mk.7 (NEW 2013 on) + Silver R Logos | eBay

I had the reversible carpet/plastic liner chucked into my deal to get me to sign, I wouldn't have paid for it otherwise, but again you might find a suitable boot option through them as well.

Thanks Dutch77! Have sent the eBay seller an enquiry as they don't seem to do international shipping. Boy there's so many things I want to get and do to the car the missus is not going to be too happy...

Next up on my list: Powdercoating the Cadiz to Black. Wonder if anyone's done that yet...

This forum is horrible in that regard. I suspect there is some kind of subliminal text hidden each time you login encouraging you to mod..

If the price is good enough I assume the UK would have freight forwarders as well like the USA - just depends if it is cost effective or not. Hopefully the seller can ship direct however.

I've been looking for black Cadiz for my wheel thread and am yet to come across any. If I was you, unless I was 100% positive on the look, I'd go and buy some plastidip and try it out first - a cheap option and if you end up not liking it then simply remove. You've also then got the opportunity to experiment perhaps with gloss or matte black as well to see what works best on the white R.
