How about installing a GTI steering wheel with paddle shifters?

Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is on-line, in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the expertise of the wider forum! Thank you.
Well the OP did ask the question
And I was wondering how I could legitimately post a link to my for sale ad in the Mk7 forum area given that the steering wheel will only work on a Mk7. It was too good an opportunity to pass up!
Seriously though a lot of people forget to check the parts area when considering mods. You can often pick up gear at a decent discount.
Just so you can't call me biased here's a few other suggestions that will fit a Mk7:

Accessories I always negotiate for with a new car are rubber floor mats & cargo net.
Though, I've recently gone back to carpet mats & find them more 'comfy'. Good to have the rubber mats as backup though.
Also got a Boot Liner with the Golf, adding extra protection in the back.
I reckon the cargo nets are underrated - VERY handy to keep shopping in check, & with the additional hook mounts in the MK7 Golf, you can customise their layout to suit.
I carried over a net I had in the old Polo, so now have 2 nets in the back...

Purpose of this thread is to praise/criticise accessories you have for your MK7 Golf.
Luggage Net
I REALLY like these things. They're all about tying down shopping whilst also allowing the car to be flung around corners on the way home - ie. Not missing out on fun with a loaded boot.
They compliment the existing shopping hooks, but add more flexibility when the hooks won't do.
I've carried over a Luggage Net from my prior VW purchase, so am now rocking two of them, having negotiated a 2nd when purchasing the Golf...
& I think I've worked out the best hook-anchorage arrangement for most tasks...
^Can of unleaded petrol on the left, with groceries on the right.
Must-have items imo.

I have just installed the rest pedal on my GTI, it looks better than OEM plastic one.
I got it from Aliexpress, this is the link.

The installation is pretty simple, however it wasn't perfectly fit the slot, I need to use a blazer knife to trim a little bit. If you guys need a RHD foot rest pedal. This is one of the choices.
Cheers

Hi can anyone point me in the right direction. Looking for blue LED footwell lights and white LED strip light. Also looking for red rear strip lights, same as found in front door and sill. PS. Saw a white 2016 GTI performance with red door handles. Looked amazing. Pity couldn't take a snap.2016 VW Golf GTI Performance. Melbourne. Thanks Frank.

Hi guys
New to the forum and recently taken delivery of an MY16 Golf Highline (110TSI, white, DAP, Luxury pack).
Am on the hunt for some chrome tips for the exhaust just to finish it off (the steel looks a bit cheap IMO) and am finding it a bit painful. I am dubious of all the ebay stuff from HK and China and wonder if anyone had any luck sourcing from the dealer or other overseas sources - europe or US? I really like the ones that come fitted to the Highline as part of the R line option.
So far I've been given the run around with one VW dealer telling me the part cant be purchased and another telling me it can (as p/n 5g0253825e) at $315 A PIECE
Tried the Yeti option through Skoda and they tell me they've got nothing available in Aus.
Even spoke to Audi as im sure they're the same part on the A3 with the 110 motor, however, when i spoke to the dealer it was almost like i had really offended him when i said they were for the Golf and he pretty much wouldn't order them for me and the conversation was ended abruptly.
Does anyone have any good advice or tips (no pun intended) on tracking a decent set down for reasonable money (ideally genuine)????
I ordered a set from aliexpress for around$25 for stainless steel ones....

Super Cheap Auto stocks them as well, pretty cheap.
