looks the same as my GTI
Quick query for the GTi owners.
Check out the attached photo.
I noticed a wiring harness hanging down and visible under the engine the other day. It looks like it is from the oil sensor under the sump. It all looked very dodgy and likely to be easily damaged. I was able to poke it back up and out of the way as shown in the photo but reckon it will drop again before too long. I then began to wonder if there should be a plastic undertray there that might have been removed and not replaced at an oil service. Would someone on here with a 2018 GTi kindly have a look under the front of their car and see if the sump is exposed and visible, and if the oil sensor wiring is tucked up and out of the way ? Cheers

Seems VW are cost cutting as the Tiguans are similar and have a piddly little undertray and a poster on here had a connector ripped out in a similar position to yours. I have bought a full undertray for mine as in the pics.
In actual fact VCW list a full undertray but dont seem to fit them as one is listed but as not fitted in my cars spec sheet
Also they have taken to not fully painting inside the engine bay and the underside of the bonnet

Hillbilly in the replacement undertray are those access spots for the oil filter/drain plug etc?
My Alltrack has a full size underbody tray (similar to your picture Hillbilly - minus the 3 access ports); as per the brochure "Engine and transmission underbody protection"
