The ADR rules state that if your HID lights are under a certain light level like 2000 lumens they dont need the full enchilada.
However at that level they are scarcely better than the Phillips high intensity bulbs and therefore probably not worth the extra money
From the RACQ site
Queensland legislation
HID headlight conversions are not permitted under Queensland legislation. If you’re in another state or territory, you should check local requirements.
From Australian Standards
All vehicles fitted with headlamps (including HID) producing over 2,000 lumens (a measure of light output) must have a self-levelling system and headlight washers

Hm......... thanks hillbilly and Adam for explaining the legality so succinctly and emphatically!
The advantage of forum communities like this is the facility to separate the hype from reality.
From a buyer's perspective, the #1 thing isn't so much that the supplier of enticing, super-bright headlamp fittings can also up-sell the purchase by also providing levelling and washer infrastructure. No, the #1 thing (even before a dollar is exchanged), is that the buyer makes an informed and well-considered decision.
Of course there can be no argument that caveat emptor applies to these purchases - If the buyer has HIDs installed which subsequently causes a serious accident because of a blinded driver in the other direction, there will be only one person accountable for potentially very significant consequences. In an extreme scenario, an argument by the buyer in a coroner's court that the "reality is that people around the world have done it for many years without major hiccups. As much risk as crossing the street." will be facile in the extreme as both a defence before a Judge and as an excuse to the family of the injured party!
Buying and having these fittings installed is a risk management exercise with the odds stack against the buyer from the get-go (because of the legal situation). True, there may be no consequences, but the down-side consequences appear to be far greater than the up-side advantages (IMO)!

Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is on-line, in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the expertise of the wider forum! Thank you.

Prices are for lights only, fitting is extra.
Email us with your details and which option for the light you like.
At the moment, we have a cheaper option without DRL LED so just Xenon at $1599 and Full LED at $2999
The Xenon's certainly look the goods.
