    VIN/MODEL stickers

Just wondering how important the two stickers on the door sill are as one has not been put on straight and is starting to tear.

    1. I have one on the drivers side which has the approval no. category, GVM and VIN.
    2. The other one on the passenger side has model, version, chassis, paint VIN, manufacture ID and built date. This is the one that is tearing.

I was thinking of trying to get the dealer to get a replacement but not sure if its worth it.

How important? I could be wrong, but as I understand it they are the single most important part of your car.
Take the sticker off and the car is written off.

Someone may correct me on this though

Most also have a full model sheet in the boot in front of the spare tyre Its the same as whats in the front of the service book in mine.

That's where they put any recall stickers as well Vin is usually visible in bottom left of windscreen

All the data is recorded by VW so not hard to find but stickers make it easier Just get the dog to stop rubbing them when its climbing in LOL
