Converted mine to manual and want to compare some long coding.
Assuming that you use the release version of VCDS software (not the Beta, or Test versions) - have you tried looking in the directory Ross-Tech\VCDS\Scans on the laptop that you use with the diagnostic cable? That's where old auto-scan reports that you have made in the past are stored

And if that fails, try looking in Ross-Tech\VCDS\logs - there's a bunch of stuff in this directory about your past activity with the cable. Perhaps one of these files - like an adaptation channel map, or a Log.txt file - has what you seek

And if that fails, try opening Codinglog.CSV in the directory Ross-Tech\VCDS\debug with a higher order application like MS Excel. This file contains a complete database of all the Byte/Bit changes that you have made with your cable to the hex02 module (using that laptop). The records contain the "before" values - so this might be of interest in respect of original module code-strings on your mk7.5?

    Don
PS: and if you have in the past, or you currently do use the Beta, or the Test version VCDS software - the appropriate directories for the locations above are Ross-Tech\VCDS-Beta\*, or Ross-Tech\VCDS-Test\*.

    Hi Don
Thanks for your reply, I have an autoscan for my car so thats no problem.
What I'm actually after is for someone on here to Autoscan their Manual Original Edition GTI so that I can then compare some of their
long coding to my long coding (from when mine was still DSG) to hopefully solve the last of my error codes.

I was hoping someone would know if it is possible for the parking lights to remain full brightness when the fog lights are activated. Specifically on a 2019 mk7.5.

    Thank you!

    Hello Don,
I am new here and have a question for you already. After coding, via OBD Eleven, my Brakelights ( all 5 lit ) as well as my Signallights ( sequential flashing ), I noticed, standing beside the vehicle, there is a very small " window " in the outside taillight that flashes on the opposite side from the active turnsignal. Is there a cure for this ?
    Thank you

Manny: Hi and thanks for the PM.

It's been a long time since I was last asked this question and I'm having problems finding the solution in my notes. But you could try the following:

In the Cent. Elect. module (BCM) @ address hex09 - enter the magic number 31347 as a security code, then go to adaptations-10.
Assuming your mk7 is built after MY16, search for Aussenlicht_Heck. Select ENG141648-ENG115831-Aussenlicht_Heck-Schlusslicht mit Bremslichtfunktion and change to active

If this doesn't work -try this:

Assuming your mk7 is built after MY16, search for Aussenlicht_Heck. Select ENG141648-ENG141987-Aussenlicht_Heck-Bremslicht_ist_auch_Blinklicht and change to yes

    Hi Don,
Thank you for getting back to me with your suggestions. However, I tried the first option, which is an available option, but it does not work.
The small LED ? in the little sidewindow keeps flashing left when I engage the right-turn signal and viceversa on the other side.
Maybe I will just have to live with it ....EH ?
    Thank you
    Manny

How and where to register mine Alpine X901D-G7 navigator ?

    Hello.

I have change in my car the Radio Composite Colour (which was without navigator) with the Apline X901D-G7 navigator.
Alpine has full CANBUS ability and works very fine with the steering controls and the MFD. I Think some Car setup menus are missing.

Where / how to tell to the canbus(?) there is a alpine navigator installed?
If i go to 37 Navigation, i got a error(maybe because there was only a radio before installed and no navigator)

Point 37- Navigation, does not appears automatically (only if i select this, in the Gateway List)

^^^^ marsias: not sure what's happening with your car - your first picture doesn't show that the MIB is registered in the CAN Gateway module - you don't mention what type of vehicle this is - the second picture suggests that you either have a pirated cable, or if it's genuine, its out of date - and in any event, SATNAV facilities on OEM MIB units for MQB platform vehicles don't usually have a separately registered control module @ address hex37.

So -it's all a tad strange! Perhaps you should post-up a COMPLETE (meaning totally unedited) copy of an auto-scan for the vehicle. AND also some information about the car itself.

After market units don't need to be registered in canbus gateway installation list.
They just respond to can messages on the bus.
