Very interesting, and yes, I can see what you mean about introducing aftermarket lights into the mix, and being relatively unsure of the outcome. The 2B option definitely was the one that did the trick for me. With the switch on Auto, in the daylight only the Double U DRLs are active. Then drove into an underground car park and the low beams come on as they should.
As these Supernova headlights are based on Aussie Golfs, I'm sure it allows them to match up wires as best as possible to work plug and play, and they basically do. What I also found interesting (but not surprising) is when you look at a picture of the new lights, the DRL is supposed to be on the Leuchte2SL & Leuchte3SL channels(?). However, because these are not OEM lights etc.. to actually adjust the brightness of the DRLs is under the Leuchte4TFL & Leuchte 5TFL -> Dimmwert EF 4. Which is obviously the same channel for setting the Halogen DRL brightness when they were installed.
I can see the interest in all of this coding and design, and if I was ever going to learn German, this is not a bad way to go about it.
Got it working
Ok to get the footwell and door brightness sliders you need to change these 2 to from 0 to 8x1 (11111111, although I have tried any other 8 figure binary and it seems to work), IGNORE THE PATTERN OF 0-255 that Obdeleven puts up
Central electronics
Interior lighting, parameter:
p_ambientelicht_verbauinformation_HMI:
11111111 (default is 0, and this one is for footwell)
p_ambientelicht_verbauinformation_HMI_2:
11111111 (default is 0, and this one is for the door)
I’m sure HMI_3 & 4 will put the settings cog on for other lights like maybe Center console if you had them in your car
Now you will have the cogs on the brightness screen, but the glow will be WHITE
Now if you want the glow on the screen to be the same colour as your display (like my pictures are green down there vvv)
Interior lighting, parameter:
p_ambienteumfang_mehrfarbig_HMI:
100 (default is 0, footwell)
p_ambienteumfang_mehrfarbig_HMI_2:
100 (default is 0, door)
There you go independent footwell and door lighting with colour change

done a video if it helps
does the ambient light in the footwell change colour or are the factory leds not rgb? can you post a picture if they do.
The LED in the footwell/door are not RGB so you can't change the colour to correspond the console/head unit (confirmed by VW mechanic). I'm keen to know how/where to purchase the required RGB LED (or whether you need a whole new door card which won't be cheap) so that they can be interchangeable with the rest. Thanks for the codes they worked a treat and look good. My favourite is electric lime. I used the following website to come up with my own 10 colour schemes...

Yeah I was looking the other day
rror: Adaptive Front Lighting (AFS)
Good evening!
I have a 2013 GTI Golf, and I decided to change the AFS light because I had changed some lights and... then I decided to put a LED!But... there's a problem!
I've changed the AFS H7 to an LED! and the error appears because of the voltage indications, I think!
There is a way using Vagcom/VCDS to solve the error of AFS?
Some one to help?
Best regards
david: hi - can you post-up the actual error message? Even better, perhaps a copy of the autoscan results for the car so we can see how you coded the BCM.
Don
Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is on-line, in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the expertise of the wider forum! Thank you.
