Monkeysrus: Yes, I reckon that every VCDS cable user has at some time in their experience gotten that screen. It happens usually the first time that you try to make a change to a control module and it simply warns you that the you are trying to add zeros into the Work ShopCode/Importer/Equipment data. Nothing wrong at all. Simply select the "YES" button and let VCDS enter the 12345 sequence numbers.

If this doesn't work (and it usually will work), you can always thieve a set of codes from one of the other control modules. I've highlighted where you can find these codes in the picture below

    Cheers

    Thanks Don.

Have done lots more research re DCC and idea of changing the values the system uses for controlling damping. I think the controller unit and its algorithms might be out of reach for just a simple coding change! Ill happily explore some more although am not as confident as i was!

I found that rain close did not work with just the sunroof popped open at the rear if all windows were closed. I works, though, if one or more windows are at least partially down.

Security Code for Changing Steering Assist Level on Mk7 Golf?

I want to reduce the power steering assist. My steering is too sensitive!

Going to control unit 44 (Steering Assist) and Adaptation and the Support Power channel, I see it set to 100%. There is the option of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%. But, a change is not accepted. I had entered 19249 as the security code and it was accepted. But, when I try to change the assist %, I get a "security access required" error message. A different security code must be needed for this setting.

    Anyone know the correct code?

Hope you figure this out, as I would like to reduce the Race mode in the R.

@DV52: Don, do you know if there is a specific Leuchte-channel for the turn signals on the mirrors? They are not connected to any of the other turn signal channels... As I tried to change to "Dunkelphase" and it didn't have any effect on those on the mirrors...

I asked same question at Ross-Tech forum. DV52 inform me the code for STG44 Support Power.
SA code for Support power is "28183" which works for my Golf Mk7.
    Please try this code.

Drive:You are not the first to have asked this question!! I apologise up-front if I'm telling you stuff that you already know (I suspect that I am), but Leuchte Programming doesn't affect the CAN bus messages that pass between various control modules in the mk7's OBD network. Leuchte Programming only affects that way that the BCM "outputs" these messages to drive the car's 35 x exterior lights.

The little turn signal LEDs that are fitted to the side mirrors are connected directly from the driver and passenger door controllers. The only connection between these door controllers and the BCM is the CAN gateway (J533). This means (I think) that the mechanism that the LED turn indicators on the mirrors use to operate is the CAN bus (in this case, the Convenience CAN bus) which happens via the two door controllers (J386/J387). Alas there are no Leuchte channels on either of these two control modules and modifying the operation of the headlight/taillight Leuchte-sets won't alter the CAN signal to the mirror LEDs.

But - as an alternative approach of achieving your goal (which I assume is counter blinking turn signals on the mirrors), why not set-up the turn signal lamps on the headlight/taillight fittings to operate out-of-phase? This will mean that the mirror LEDs will counter-blink with the normal turn-signals - I think
