For cars with DCC would the damper values be able to be changed somewhere in the system??? There are obviously values stored so when you change between modes the voltage to the adjustment valve changes.
If you change the springs and they have a 10% higher spring rate if you could adjust the damper values up 10% it would assist controlling rebound. The compression stiffness would obviously be higher from both the spring rate and damper compression.

Monkeysrus: I don't have DCC, but I suspect that the answer lies in the suite of adaptation channels for J250 (which resides at address hex14 on a mk7). Here is an admap for J250 from my database for an RoW vehicle:
