    Hey!
    I have a question:
You know when you lock your car with the remote, the hazard lights flashes one time and when you unlock it flashes twice.
I am wondering if it's possible to make the single " lock flash " a bit longer, say 2seconds.

    Anyone know?
The VCDS guru mr DV52 might have an idea?

    Sbuddz: Halla.

First, thanks for the kind words, but there are many far more knowledgeable VCDS guru's here than me.......and to prove this, my response is - I don't know of a way of increasing the strobe time for the lock acknowledgement flash on the turn signals. Perhaps someone else here can advise how this is done.

If you want to accentuate the lock-door function, perhaps you might consider adding an audible acknowledgement instead. I've written instruction for how to do this in the VCDS reference thread.

Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is on-line, in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the expertise of the wider forum! Thank you.

Have a play with 09. Central Electric. Specifically, this channel:
    (4)-Acknowledgement signals-Optical feedback during locking

Default value is "Decelerate", not sure what the possible values are as I'm at work. But change it and see what happens.

On another note, discovered this channel:
    (6)-Acknowledgement signals-Optische Rueckmeldung 3.Bremsleuchte

Appears to flash your third brake light to acknowledge door locking.

    Hey guys!

    Thank you for your answers.

DV52, I have already activated the aucoustic acknowledgement on my car, thanks to your eminent guidance.

Agentthumb, I have tried this option as well but I really can't tell the difference between "decelerate" and the default one.

i will look around some more in the central electric section but guess is that this is controlled via something else.
if anyone has an idea please let me know

its definitely the alarm siren beeping and not the horn when you activate the lock/unlock acoustic acknowledgment?

Since I don't have alarm I'm sure it's the horn on my car

    Another question:
DSG7 as I have in my 2016 Golf Estate 1.4 tsi.
When you are in manual mode you can up shift or down shift with buttons on the steering wheel or on the gear leaver.
I can understand that gearbox automatically downshifts for you even in manual mode to prevent the stalling if you forget to downshift yourself.
    So far so good.
But is it possible to delete the "kick down" function via vcds?
if I have the gearbox in manual, I want to deside when to shift down when I am accelerating.
if you press hard on the accelerator pedal the gearbox shifts down one or two gears depending on engine rpm but I want to delete that function.
    is it possible?

There is a safety element to this. Generally when you have the car in manual mode and you mesh the accelerator peddle in the complete wrong gear, the car thinks you are in a panic mode to accelerate away from danger (train lines, intersection etc). Therefor, it kicks down into the right gear (in relation to your throttle position) to get you moving.

Not to mention if it's dropping two cogs, you are probably lugging the engine, which is bad.
